Product and User Safety Information

Description

Product Information

The Dawnerz lifting slings are designed for durability and reliability. They are made from high-strength industrial polyester and feature folded and reinforced eyes, allowing safe lifting in compliance with the EN 1492-1 standard.

Key Features:

  • High-strength polyester – made from industrial-grade polyester with high load-bearing capacity.
  • Color coding – enables quick and easy identification of the Working Load Limit (WLL).
  • Durable & reinforced – flat-woven polyester webbing in double layer with additional abrasion protection at the eyes.
  • Safety & standard compliance – each lifting sling is tested in accordance with EN 1492-1 for maximum safety and reliability.
  • Accurate load markings – a blue label indicates the permitted load for different lifting configurations and angles.
  • Traceability – each sling is marked with a unique serial number.
  • User instructions – important safety information is printed on the product label.

Usage Notes:
According to EN 1492-1:2000+A1:2008, lifting slings must be protected from sharp edges, friction, and abrasion caused by the load or lifting device. Even though our slings include built-in reinforcements, additional protection may be required depending on the application.

Load Tables

Safety Information

Avoid Crushing

Ensure that the full width of the lifting sling is supported. Crumpled, stacked, or pinched slings lose their load-bearing capacity and can be damaged. Twisting or uneven loading at the edges can also cause damage and may even lead to sling failure.

Protect the Sling from Sharp Edges and Abrasion

Sharp edges can cut lifting slings and cause loads to fall unexpectedly. To minimize the effects of sharp edges, edge protection sleeves should be used. For loads with rough surfaces (e.g., concrete), using protective covers or edge guards is recommended to prevent abrasion. Advances in technology have led to lifting slings made from high-performance fibers, which provide enhanced protection.

Handle with Care

Never pull slings forcibly under a load. Use appropriate tools to support the sling and prevent damage. Protect the slings from friction, scraping, or crushing, as these can compromise the material integrity.

Observe the Correct Opening Angle

Ensure that the opening angle of the sling eyes does not exceed 20°. Exceeding this angle can cause the eye connection to fail under load.

Summary

Following these guidelines ensures the safe and efficient use of lifting slings. Proper support, protection from sharp edges and abrasion, careful handling, and maintaining the correct opening angle are all critical to preserving the integrity and load capacity of lifting slings.
